Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This website has been independently audited against those guidelines and remediation work has been carried out on the findings.

What we have done

  • Set a single, meaningful page heading on every page and corrected the heading order
  • Written descriptive alternative text for every image
  • Replaced data delivered as images with accessible HTML tables
  • Given every icon link a name that assistive technology can read
  • Raised text and link colour contrast to meet the minimum ratio
  • Set the page language correctly so screen readers use the right pronunciation
  • Published a sitemap as an alternative way to find pages
